This spectacular vintage ring, originally bought in the 1920's from J.W & F Thomas on New Bond Street, was acquired by Kayes last year after quite a journey. 

The beautiful Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond weighing an impressive 1.80cts, caught the attention of Mr Kayes expert eyes. However, the original mount was too worn to be restored. The ring was sent to our London workshop where they carefully lifted out the central stone and sent it to America to receive its GIA certification. Our expert craftsman completely handcrafted a replica of the original mount and setting in platinum, as it would have been totally handmade in its day. The central stone was then expertly set, along with the original twelve smaller diamonds. 

This stunning ring, complete with a GIA certificate and original box, is now ready for its next century. Pictured with the original mount and box.

The metal specification refers to the main part of the item (e.g. the shank of the ring) and not to the setting around the diamond, which is usually platinum.

The images are a good likeness of the designs we stock. Limitations of reproduction however mean that colours and proportions may not always be wholly accurate. Specifications can be customised online, but images may not accurately reflect this change. Designs with variable stone size options may often be illustrated using a single image that does not accurately reflect the specific stone size being viewed. Warranty

At Kayes, all of our new jewellery and rings are sold with Lifetime Care and a 10 year guarantee. This covers the item against any manufacturing defects for 10 years from the date of purchase. Our guarantee does not cover loss, general wear and tear, damage resulting from accidents, mishandling (for example, if the ring has been knocked or had impact), unauthorised alterations or repairs, stones loosened by impact, rhodium wear or tarnishing.
