When you buy a ring from Kayes, we will look after your ring for you with our free Lifetime Care Service. 

Drop your ring off in our Chester store, no appointment needed, for regular free cleaning and examining whenever you are passing, but please let us see your ring at least once a year. We will clean and throughly examine your ring, checking over the condition of the diamond and its setting. Please allow one hour for this service. 

How To Clean Your Ring At Home

We always recommend that you clean your ring in a proper jewellery cleaning solution, this is available to buy at our Chester store for a small fee of £10. However, if you do not have any to hand then follow these simple steps:

Mix a dash of mild soap solution with warm water in a small bowl.

Place your ring in the solution and allow it to soak for 5 minutes. 

Use a soft bristle brush to gently brush over the ring, paying particular attention to the edges and back of the ring. This is particularly important as it's where most of the suntan oil, hand cream, soap, ect seems to congregate. The fire and brilliance you see at the front will be extinguished if you don't keep the back of the diamond clean.

Rinse your ring off in clean warm water. Don't forget to plug the drain!

Use a soft lint-free cloth to carefully and throughly dry. If you let your ring air dry you may notice water stains on your ring. 

Please remember to not use bleach or other abrasive chemicals when cleaning your ring, as this can damage the metal and your rings finish.
