"Amethyst dissipates evil thoughts and quickens the intelligence" Leonardo Da Vinci
Crystalline quartz in shades of purple, lilac or mauve is called Amethyst. The name Amethyst derives from the Greek
word ametusthos, meaning “not intoxicated,” and comes from an ancient legend. This gemstone was traditionally
worn to instil a sober and serious mind. Amethyst can be sourced from Brazil, Russia, India & Sri Lanka and is usually
faceted as a step or mixed cut. One of the worlds most popular gemstones, Amethyst compliments both warm and cool
colours meaning it looks fabulous in all metals.
